Sample spreads from the entirely 3D MauiTime “Best Of Maui” special issue—an industry first for an alternative newsweekly. Every issue came with a free pair of 3D glasses, and all editorial and a majority of the advertising was created in 3D as well. This issue won the “Judges Choice” Pele Award for design in the American Advertising Federation Hawaii chapter, as well as 3rd place for Best Special Section at the 2011 Association of Alternative Newsweekly Awards.
