This past week’s issue was an amazing feature written by new MauiTime writer, Alyssa Haber-de Leon, about a husband and wife whom quit their lives as real estate profiters to raising butterflies in the hills of Makawao, Maui. The photo was shot by the always amazing Sean Michael Hower, and I think this bright and simple imagery really did the trick. I went through several different time-consuming ideas, but in the end—the simple one prevailed. Sometimes the best choice is the easiest. It’s just too bad it’s not always like that.
