This week our feature was about donating blood and the impact it has in someone else’s life—written by MauiTime’s own Anu Yagi. With a subject like this my idea was just to blast people with something simple, clean and impacting. To me—the imagery that gets my attention the most when I think of giving blood is the blood bag. Something about it just irks me—but interests me at the same time. This also being our Valentine’s Day issue, I had to incorporate the pink with the red—and after you’ve read Anu’s spin on something you’ve heard about a thousand times—you’ll understand even more. I just wish more of us would take the time to help others.
