This issue we featured an article by two writers—Ethan Gilsdorf and MauiTime’s own Jacob Shafer—about whether escapism is bad for us. Ethan says it’s a good thing with todays economy, wars, etc., and that movies like Avatar take our mind off the bad things. Jacob argues that although escapism may be nice, it can also just be a distraction from things that are really important. This cover definitely gets your attention, and conveys the message—and although it’s just me throwing different stock art photos together—I think it came out well. Hope you enjoy!
