Howdy ya’ll, (figured I’d get a little Texan out of the way) well, the new design of Maui Time Weekly is off and running—and the feedback has been really positive so far. People are really digging the new look and feel—and everyone knows that it’s always hard to get that “sophmore showing” after coming up to bat for your first attempt at something new. For this issue we were covering Grandma Florence, a 101-year-old Maui grandmother whom twitters regularly and is growing tremendously with followers. My publisher was all over this feature and provided photography, as well as video for our website. This cover was based off his original concept, with my added “vision” if you will. It’s been a really successful issue, so hope you enjoy it as much as all the local hawaiians.
